Case study ยท Global regulatory compliance

They built a whole business on the category we named.

Orbis had real innovation and no story to carry it. We named the maze they could beat and the game they could lead ... and almost two years later, they're hard-launching a product suite built on that exact language.

01The old story

The old story: real innovation, no punch

Two years of effort. Flat revenue. Orbis had built proprietary tools that map regulatory requirements worldwide ... a real innovation ... and they couldn't make a prospect care about it.

Against giants like UL and Intertek, they blended in. Their felt truth ... "we solve the difficult problems that others can't" ... never made it onto the page. The words were the bottleneck, and the CEO knew it.

“We can't put the right words together ... I need that punch that it really needs.”

02The move

The move: name the maze, then name the game

We named the villain: Country-by-Country Compliance ... the manual, spreadsheet-bound, reactive maze every global manufacturer dreads. Then we gave them the new game to lead: Intelligent Compliance ... an AI-enabled platform plus global legal and engineering expertise, positioned to turn regulatory barriers into competitive advantage.

04What happened

What happened

We plan to do our hard launch on July 14th. We did a soft launch in April and May.
Elizabeth Perrier, CEO, Orbis Compliance · Email, June 25, 2026 ... 20 months after the original engagement, announcing the launch of a product suite named for the category we built together.
We solve the difficult problems that others can't.
Elizabeth Perrier, CEO · Their felt truth from intake ... true the whole time, and never on the page until we built the story around it.

They didn't just buy the positioning, they built a business around it: the ORBIS Intelligent Compliance Suite, a promo video, and a full 2026 marketing plan ... all on the category we named.

The build

Almost two years later, they came back ... a fresh engagement to power the July 14 hard launch. Clients don't re-hire language that didn't work.

The re-hire

Here's what's on file and what isn't. The deal was won in October 2024. The ORBIS Intelligent Compliance Suite is real ... soft-launched in April and May 2026, hard-launch webinar set for July 14. The re-engagement is real too. What's NOT on file is a revenue number: Orbis set a growth goal going in, and no document confirms it's been met, so I'm not claiming it. Their live homepage still leads with the old "Your Leading Competitive Solution for Global Approvals" line ... the new language lives in the product suite and the launch. And this page runs on consent: Orbis reviews and signs off before any of it goes public.

When a client makes your language the spine of their whole go-to-market and then re-hires you, the positioning worked.
